In 1302 Pleinfeld got here to the Eichstätt Hochstift. The municipal parts of Wurmmühle and Ketschenmühle along with the principle town of Pleinfeld form a coherent settlement area that features round 4,500 inhabitants and thus over half of the inhabitants.
