It's important to consider the priorities of your family and their needs when shopping for a double stroller. This will help streamline your options and let you concentrate on the essential features.

Lightweight

It's important to note that the more features you pick the more your stroller weighs. Also, you should be careful that your child doesn't catch their fingers on the frames or hinges of these strollers due to how they open and close.

Easy to Fold
The simplest umbrella strollers collapse like umbrellas and weigh much less than other types of strollers. They are easy to carry, lift and store away and are ideal when you aren't able to carry your full-size stroller due to any reason (traveling via plane, traveling to in a foreign country, or visiting grandma). They usually have fewer features than an all-inclusive stroller, but they should offer the essential features you need like a sun canopy and storage.

A double stroller with bassinet tri-fold stroller like the Joovy Kooper X2, offers all the comfort of an umbrella-style stroller but in a body that's similar in size to a regular full-size stroller. This kind of stroller is fast replacing the classic double umbrella, and might be the best choice for a flexible lightweight stroller for travel.
Most double umbrella strollers we recommend are side-by-side models. The exception is the Kinderwagon Hop, a tandem umbrella stroller that's super lightweight and easy to fold (though it's also relatively narrow). This is a great option if you want a simple budget double umbrella stroller that you can easily throw in your trunk for quick trips. It includes two storage bags that hang from the bags at the back of each seat, and parent cupholders. It's so bare bones that it's not going to help your children get through the airport without getting them cranky, but it will help to make the trip more comfortable.
Comfortable Seats
The majority of umbrella strollers don't come with a lot of bells and whistles, because they're designed with one purpose: to get two children from one place to the other. They typically come with comfortable, spacious seats but no reclining options or all-terrain wheels.

It's an incredibly lightweight and compact double umbrella stroller with two seats that weigh only 18 pounds each, which makes it a great option for anyone who travels (it is in line with Disney size requirements). It comes with a large canopy with three panels to protect children from sun. Both seats have ample storage however, not as much as our top picks. It has five-point safety belts in both seats, and a an open-air window in the canopy.
The G-Link isn't equipped with the bellybar or snack tray we'd love to see on our top picks. However, these features aren't essential to an umbrella stroller. Like all umbrella strollers, the G-Link should be handled with care to avoid fingers getting trapped in the hinges and mechanisms.
In the majority of double umbrella strollers they have seats that are side-by-side. However there are models that feature inline seating (one seat in front of the other). Inline models are easier to maneuver through doorways than models with side by sides however their seating arrangement can cause your children to argue over which is the best seat. This was pretty evenly divided among our previous test subjects and it is a personal choice.
Safety

Some models come close to offering the same level of security as the full-sized double strollers. These strollers usually have 5-point harnesses with foot rests, calf and calf straps for the kids, and an extendable, UPF 50+ sun visor. They tend to be narrower and lighter compared to other double umbrella strollers. This makes them more maneuverable in tight spaces like airports or city streets.
